Seem to be Running Out of Temporary File Room

Seem to be Running Out of Temporary File Room

My 3.1 moodle instance on AWS has started to act wonky (actually quitting altogether for a while)

Won't backup or restore,

Won't display site logs (but will display other logs)

It appears to have trouble writing temporary files.

I have tried to accelerate some of the cleanup routines, and the site has started to speed up (its night-time now)

It seems to keep all of the logs (from a year ago to now, every mouse click)

Have you got Cron running (properly)?

The Scheduled Tasks do all the file cleanup operations.

Yes, to my knowledge. I checked the scheduled tasks and they appeared to have been executed.

Is it.. well.. true? Have you run out of disk space?

Yes. The device had filled up.

After a bit of skinking around the cache/cachestore_file directory was 0.7 Gb. I guess that was a full year of bloating going on.

I deleted everything and function is restored.

Is there a setting somewhere I missed for cachestore_file time to live, or is this something that needs to be manually deleted?
