When writing Moodle quizzes for my math class, I often write expressions such as f( n ) or P( y ). (Note: I had to add extra spaces inside the parens to prevent conversion to emojis.)
When a quiz is displayed, Moodle converts ( n ) to a thumbs-down emoji , and converts ( y ) to a thumbs-up emoji , which makes the quiz unreadable.
How do I turn off this behavior?
