I'm not completely sure I know the right terminology for what I need to know. My agency has asked me to investigate other LMS; we've been using Moodle for more than 10 years and I think some people think Moodle can't compete...I think it is more that no one has explained what they want to see so they think Moodle can't. Anyway. Several of the products I've looked at seem capable of populating accounts with more than one source of data--so not only would accounts connect to our active directory, they would also connect to our human resources systems (Oracle) as well. Is this possible with Moodle? And if it is possible, how do we do it?
