Dear Moodle Developers,
Our University has been using Moodle for 10 years and we upgrade our Moodle to the latest version every year.
This August, we plan to upgrade Moodle to Moodle 3.3.1 but we found an issue while testing the user upload function. This issue also happened in https://demo.moodle.net/
We will be really appreciate if you can help to check this issue. We will need to upload thousands of new users soon in the middle of August.
[This is a short description of the issue] : we have enabled the LDAP authentication. We've tested the LDAP setting, it is working fine and we can login with the LDAP accounts. Then we used the csv file to upload new users. We chose the "LDAP" for the authentication option while uploading it. But all the new users were added as manual accounts.
[The version of Moodle]: Moodle 3.3.1+(Build: 20170727)
[Test Server information]:
Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS), php 5.6.27
CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core)
mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.16
[Following are the instructions I've followed]:1. site administration->users->accounts->upload users
2. upload the csv file
3. select the upload type and authentication method, leave everything else by default.
4. click upload and then we can see ,the authentication column is "manual". Although we've selected "LDAP".
Best wishes,
Lina
