I am trying to set up external database. Our plugin version is 2016052300 and we are using Moodle 3.1.5+ (Build: 20170331). I have a tested connection to SQL Server and can see the tables and columns. When I run the command to sync, sudo /usr/bin/php -d memory_limit=256M -c /etc/php.ini /var/www/html/enrol/database/cli/sync.php -v, I keep getting the following:
Starting course synchronisation...
default course category does not exist!
Error reading data from the external course table
Starting user enrolment synchronisation...
error: following courses do not exist - ENGL211-1-201710, ...
I have created the course ENGL211-1-201710 (Shortname) so I know it exists and the default category, Fall 2017, also exists and is in the drop-down list. Here are my settings.
