Journal (plugin)

I would like to have an individual journal open for the students for a few days, but then close it for grading in a way that they can still read their entries, but cannot edit them any longer. If I use the condition "close on date ...", it is no longer visible to students. Do you have an idea on how to solve this problem? We are using the grid format, so the option "days available" does not work...
