401 unauthorised error in Safari browser when launching AICC

Hi,

Anyone seen anything similar to this (and found a solution?)

I am linking to externally hosted content via AICC connectors. Everything is fine in Chrome and Firefox (excepting the weird collation of 3 frame walls at the foot of the window but thats another issue)

However, Safari throws an error "401 Unauthorised: access is denied due to invalid credentials"

The error persists whether the connector package is loaded in moodle, or linked to with a remote URL.

In Scorm Cloud the package shows ok in Safari.

I have tried 2 different locations, and on safari 9 and 10. Same issue every time.

The Moodle instance is 3.3 running the Roshnilite theme.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I know it's a bit late for a reponse, but I had the same problem and have just found a solution that worked for us and could help someone else.

After checking the headers sent from different browsers it seemed that Safari was not sending cookies to external domains, so the solution was to just enable the cookies for the external hosts or enabling cookies always.

Kind regards,
