Plug in for new users and certificate generator

Hello,

I'm brand new to Moodle, using it as a Main Administrator for the first time ever (version 3.2.2). My company currently have an eLearning module in development - an external company is doing the work for us on this - but I'm setting up the Moodle. It's a free course, open to all and would ask them to self-enrol. We would only like rudimentary information from users to add to our contact lists on enrolment; name, email, job role, organisation - but not set up an account for them as such. We would then use this information to generate a printable certificate for them to print on completion of the module.

However, the standard Moodle enrolment plug ins only seem to have either account set up or guest log in. Does anyone know of another way or another plug in that can do the above?

Thanks so much.

Danielle

They need to set up an account so that Moodle can distinguish who they are to assign the certificate.  Why is that an issue - it can be set up to just collect the info that you require...then you can have them self enroll in the course and be good to go.

Thanks very much, Emma. We want as many people to take the course as possible and were just concerned that the more barriers people encounter when trying to take it, the less likely they would be to actually take it.

Do you know of a certificate generator plug in please?

There is certificate and simple certificate.  Both are activity plugins.

Per your enrollment, at some point people have to enter their info.  If you set it up where they do not create an account (which really is not possible if you want certificates generated), you would then require them to take the course in one sitting.  If you want them to have easy access add Google authentication or something like that to your site.  In this day and age, people should be quite used to creating an account to access services/courses etc.
