I have a server already loaded with moodle on it but I am not sure where to go as of yet.
I did not upload the zip file because the server has it but the url is not displaying the landing page and I am not sure how to proceed...

if this has been answered... please direct me to the right thread

When you go to www.yourdomain.com/moodle, what happens?

at http://www.eintellectlearning.com/moodle I received:

Server not found

Firefox can’t find the server at www.eintellectlearning.com.

Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Your DNS is failing at every server around the globe.

have  you bought domain name with same hosting or from some other provider?

in case if your domain name is bought with third party, and hosting with different, then hosting provider must have given you name servers, that you have to specify in your domain.

Hello John,

For installaing Moodle, kindly go to your www.domainname/moodle as it has been mentioned in the screenshot that you kept all the files in Moodle directory. It shall work and you will get installation page.

Key points to be considered while installing Moodle :-

Create one database with a allocated user as you will be required to enter the details while installation.

You will have to make sure that folder containing moodledata directory shall be writable (path will be given during installation, you can rename the moodledata directory name as per your preferences).

Kindly let me know if I have resolved your query and you got the installation working. smile

Looks like the fully qualfied domain name you used isn't in DNS:

dig @8.8.8.8 www.eintellectlearning.com

which is a DNS lookup tool pointed at Google DNS resolvers for the domain mentioned.

Command above returns:

no A record for the domain name.

A curl -I  http://www.eintellectlearning.com/ test

returns

curl -I  http://www.eintellectlearning.com/
HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Server: nginx
Date: Fri, 14 Apr 2017 17:46:26 GMT
Content-Type: text/html
Connection: close
Location: http://localhost
Expires: Fri, 14 Apr 2017 17:46:25 GMT
Cache-Control: no-cache

See the 'location' line above?   Do you have a config.php file in the moodle code directory?

You might need to contact help desk of provider and ask for assistance ...

IF the code was already there, whomever ever uploaded and un-zipped may have configured a config.php file with http://localhost/
