I having the same issue but when I test the connection in the plugin list.

This is my environment: Ubuntu 16.02, Mysql Server 5.7, php7.1, apache2 with SSL certificate signed by Geotrust. I'm trying to use an external database for authentication with no result. The remote server runs Windows 2008 Server and Mysql Server 2008. I managed  to get php7.1 running and connecting to this same server without any problems. I followed this post to get php7.1 running: https://github.com/Microsoft/msphpsql/tree/PHP-7.0-Linux. The sample app provided by the link just worked but not the Moodle External Database Plugin. Thress options are listed: mssql, mssql_n and mssqlnative.  The first two fails with this messahe 'mssql extension not found'. And the third one takes a long time to print this message : ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE.

Would it be possible that the plugin itself is out of date?

Hi guys,

Did anyone find a fix for this bug?

Is this related to number of questions per quiz ?

I'm running Moodle 3.2

Thanks in advanced

Samy

This post has nothing to do with the quiz.  Your error message is coming from a server issue - look at your server logs.

Hi Emma,

I am having this issue when I choose the "User Matching" tool in Office 365 Plugin.  It worked fine before and now it gives me this error.  Where on the server can I find the logs and what am I looking for to determine what the issue is?

Moodle 3.2.4

Apache 5.6.38-0+deb8u1

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Aretha

If on linux /var/logs/apache2 is best place to start.

As Ricardo pointed out, There is no indication of an issue in the logs.

I am also receiving this error intermittently...

Has anyone encountered this before and has found a solution?

Thanks

Hi Emma,

Do you have any idea what to look for because I don't see anything that sticks out.  What could this error mean?

Thank you,

Aretha
