Is it possible to allow students unlimited number of attempts?

I want to set 'pass grade' to 4 of 5 points, but at the same time I want to allow them to make additional attempts even if they have already reached 4 points.

Step 1 : Go to Edit settings of your quiz > grade > set "Grade to pass" > choose "unlimited" to "Attempts allowed" > save changes.
Step 2 : Go to Edit quiz of your quiz > click on edit maximum mark of each question (right side pen icon of each question) > enter marks.
Student can attempts quiz unlimited times.

PFA.

Then just set 'attempts reopened' to 'manually', instead of 'automatically until pass', then you can allow an extra attempt each time the attempt is graded.

Yes, that's what I do.

But I want to allow students to send another attempt even before I graded the previous one and manually reopened it. Sometimes they catch and fix mistakes themself smile

You want your submission settings to be No-No-Never.
This way, it's the "current submission that a student is editing if they want to upload a new file, and they can always edit/update the current submission, even before you grade it. So when you go to grade, you're only grading the latest attached file,

By the way, if I set 'allow attempts' to 'manually', how can I set default value of 'allow another attempt' to Yes on the grading screen?
