I am using Moodle data for my doctoral research. I have seen Caliper and Loop Tool used as analytical tools. Are there other tools that extract data from Moodle or would it be best to use MySQL to extract the data needed for the research? Also, does the student activity log extract all data and are there any bugs in this report that I should be made aware?

You can use configurable reports of chart.js API for better graphical presentation.

(chart.js API is not available in older versions and you might have to go for other solutions).
