Hello Moodlers

I have read this here:

I am wondering if anything has changed since this was written.

Maybe someone wrote a plugin or similar that helps me to enable Capital Letters in user names?

From my hoster Siteground:

a) Here are the details of the database used on your hosting plan:

Code:
cpsrvd 11.58.0.28
Database client version: libmysql - 5.1.73
PHP extension: mysqli

b) Yes it does support upper case letters.

I use Moodle 3.1.4

As far as I am aware Moodle forces all usernames lower case on input.

Don't hack core code. You're just making life difficult for yourself. 

There won't be a plugin because lowercase usernames are rather fundamental in core Moodle.

Do you *really* have usernames that only differ by case? Can you use something else to use as login names - e.g. the email address?

No I will not hack code.
I am using Moodle in Joomdle (Single Sign On System in a wrapper) in conjunction with Easy Social from Stackideas:

I need to get past this login form here:

Before I even get to Moodle.

As of now Joomdle is not really working properly with the latest version of Easy Social

a) I have still to simplify my login process even more!!!
b) Passwords with capitals break the login for Moodle but not Easy Social.*

*Which means I am logged in but not logged in!

I am working on (a) and the developer is working on (b)

Just trying to leave no stone unturned!!!
