@Rick ... Yes, am 'retired' but the 'journey' with Moodle (and open source began a very long time ago).
Paolo can certainly speak for himself, but notice he wears 2 'hats' ... one as a teacher and one as the IT administrator of his school. The 2nd 'hat' is 'formed' (for lack of a term) by the teachers ... and that is as it should be. No teacher 'buy in', no use. No amount of sales pitch (even if one were to do an extensive comparison chart - Moodle vs ___) will 'convince' a teacher IF they view another LMS to be what they need.
The real bottom line, however, actually rest with the students/pupils.
