Trouble upgrading from 3.1.1 to 3.2

Am running 3.1.1+ (Build: 20160804)

on paid hosting site and have performed this process several times in the past without any problems.  However this time i try the same proceedure but get "This page can't be displayed" error.

i've been following the upgrade instructions by renaming my Moodle folder and then uploading the new version, unzipping it, and then moving the old config file over.  i see the file permissions on the config file as 644 and the folders as 755.

But after that when I try to load the page I get a "This page can't be displayed" error.

Hope someone can help me out.

i've tried from Maintainence Mode as well as non-M Mode, but am getting the same error.

i unzipped the files again into a new folder and proceeded to take the site into Maint. Mode.  Renamed the folders distance to distance_old and distance_new to distance and took the site out of Maint. Mode.  After a minute or so, got the message>

This time i just renamed moodledata cache and localcache to moodledata_to_be_deleted and localcache_to_be_deleted and placed in Maint. Mode and switched folders again (this time w/o any new unzipping).

Have successfully upgraded from 3.1.1 to 3.1.3.  Tomorrow will try to upgrade to 3.2 again.  Maybe it'll go off w/o a hitch.

i think i'm going to ask my Hosting Co. to unzip the moodle32 file because i think that it's taking too long and not working correctly.  i even have trouble unzipping it through FTP it seems.

Well, this is strange.  We to wash dishes - something i know more about than Moodle - and when i came back to the compu the screen displayed the first screen of the update process.  All i had to do was pretty much click O.K. for each screen, just like always and we're now in

3.2!!!  Yea!

I find it interesting that the first line references the 3.2 version and then the rest reference the previous version.  I suggest redownloading a fresh version of 3.2 before trying again.
