Is there a way to put a placeholder text inside the Free text filter (Search text) in Configurable reports?

I am currently using version 3.1.1


and inside my Search text I want to put a Placeholder - Search by "Employee ID" 

There are no options in the filters tab to edit the name of Filter so I'm wondering if  there are any possible work around for this. Thanks.

Nope.

Will need some coding to do that.

To workaround it, I usually put some instructions in the overview/introduction text above the report.
