Backup corrupting cloze questions in a quiz

Hi

Whenever I restore a course containing quizzes with cloze questions, the questions are corrupted.

For example part of a question on a biology course contained the following ... 

The {1:SHORTANSWER:%100%pancreas} and walls of the small intestine secrete enzymes to complete the digestion of the food.

When I backup this course and restore, it becomes ...

The {#1} and walls of the small intestine secrete enzymes to complete the digestion of the food.

Can anyone help?
