Hello,
I have a request to add a feature to quizzes where a student can strike out or eliminate answers from the question to help them focus on the remaining answers. The idea is they would remove answers they know are not correct.
Has anyone heard of this type of quiz feature and if it is possible.

I am not aware of anything that does what you want, although other people have made similar requests in the past very occasionally.
In Moodle terms, the best way to do it would be to create a new question type plugin. It could share a lot of the functionality from the standard multiple-choice question type, and only add the extra bit. There are already several question types that add a bit to the standard one, like
They could be a model if you wanted to develop this.
