LTI Provider in Moodle

Hi,

I am trying to create a course using course template feature through LTI.

Following steps provided in this link

https://docs.moodle.org/30/en/LTI_Provider [Service for context (course) creation, using other courses as template ]

I am using free moodle cloud instance for this.

Few queries

1. Sending request from LTI consumer to Moodle LTI Provider to create new course using template, bnut it is not working.

Used these custom parameters

"lis_outcome_service_url" = "local/ltiprovider/services.php"
"custom_service" = "create_context"
"custom_context_template" = "1"
I am not sure what mistake am I doing? Or is there any configuration is missing on moodle side.

2. Above link talks about the. "Once installed, a new link called "LTI Provider" will be displayed in the course navigation block ." I am not finding any such link user course. Does MoodleCloud support to create new course using course template through LTI.

Any help or pointer on this will be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

MoodleCloud uses the latest version of Moodle, Moodle 3.1

For each version of Moodle we have dedicated documentation, and you can see which version in the URL of the documentation. So I saw that you referenced documentation from Moodle 3.0 in your earlier post.

Try the Moodle 3.1 documentation on Publish as LTI tool which is available here: https://docs.moodle.org/31/en/Publish_as_LTI_tool

Also note that the free MoodleCloud sites do not allow for installing any extra plugins (LTI Provider was an additional plugin)

Thanks Mary for the reply.

I have already verified the 3.1 document. Configured the moodle e.g "Published as LTI Tool" using that document.

Is there any way to verify that "LTI Provider" plugin installed on moodleclound3.1 or not?

On the 3.0 LTI Provider document https://docs.moodle.org/30/en/LTI_Provider, when you click on 3.1 document though link provided on 3.0 LTI Prover page at top. It is redirected to another page "Publish as LTI Tool". It seems that name of the plugin is changed in 3.1.

Finally everything is working fine.

User can't install new plugin on cloud instance. Installed "LTI Provider" plugin on local instance.

With above changes, now user can provision the Courses.

Hello Mary/Abhishek, wanted to kindly confirm that Moodle Cloud supports LTI in the same manner as it does when integrating via LTI with Moodle 3.1.  We are a software vendor with long standing integration to Moodle (versions 2.9 through 3.3) and now would like to provide integration with Moodle Cloud.  Just need to verify we can deploy our LTI package to it,  Thanks so much in advance.

Hello Joshua. I think the easiest way for you to test everything MoodleCloud and LTI would be to get yourself a free MoodleCloud site smile

Thanks for the reply Mary.  We've just recently obtained a MoodleCloud instance and will indeed test it thoroughly prior to deploying.  Just couldn't tell from the previous thread if there were any known issues we could identify prior to.  I'll reply here once we complete our testing.  Thanks so much.

To clarify ...  Thanks for the reply Mary.  We've just recently obtained a MoodleCloud instance and will indeed test it thoroughly prior to deploying.  Just couldn't tell from the previous thread if there were any known LTI provider plugin issues we could identify prior to.  I'll reply here once we complete our testing.  Thanks so much.
