Microsoft Edge and inserting links

One of our instructors has reported an issue when attempting to add hyperlinks using the Edge browser in Windows 10.  Previously, when using Internet Explorer, one was able to copy and paste a URL into Moodle's text editor and that URL was automatically set as a hyperlink.  When preforming the same steps using the Edge browser the URL is not automatically set as a hyperlink.  Choosing the Create a link button, and entering the URL does work, but it would save the instructor a few steps if the URL was set automatically.  Is there a setting that we can change in Moodle to allow URLs to be automatically set as a hyperlink?  We're currently running Moodle 3.1.1

Thanks
