Deal all,
I would like your help.
Is there away to know what questions from the question bank I already used in previous quizzes so that I don't use them again?
Your urgent replies are highly appreciated.
Thank you
Salim
Hi,
What I did once was to re-name the question. A question named 'Canine distemper' that I used in one exam will be renamed to 'A. Canine distemper' in the Question Bank. Please see this forum post.
Hi German,
Thank you for your reply. This is an idea that some teachers use. However, this is not practical, it would be great if moodle would generate under each question details of where it is used in the course or if it not has been used yet!!!
Could that be done? And is there any plugin that can help in this?
The post is not talking about this particular issue.
Salim
Hi Salim,
If I am not mistaken, the information you want might be derived from the mdl_quiz and mdl_question tables. You might also look at the mdl_question_attempts table. There is no place I know of in Moodle, or a plugin, that generates a report of where the question is used, but you could maybe come up with your own report to dig out the information.
If you use the ad-hoc database queries plugin there is already a contributed report available that lists questions in each quiz. It might give you what you are looking for.
Hi Al Rachels,
Thanks for the reply. But what we need is for course teacher not for the admin.
The teachers needs to know which questions they already used in quizzes so that they don't repeat in finals for example.
They have a large number of questions hundreds.

Hi Salim,
No, there is not a practical way of a teacher to know that. This is the main flaw on the system, in my opinion. At my university we have some ideas, but at this moment we cant cope with such a development.
Cheers,
Hugo
