Dear Moodle Friends,
Is it possible to see who has spent the most time logged into Moodle? Does the system keep a running total of minutes that a user is logged in?
Sincerely,
Peter
Moodle's logs show "times" when students click on something. You can use log entries to calculate times between clicks. Then you can decide if you want to interpret this as the student is always on between clicks, or is always absent between clicks. Which do you prefer? Moodle has no way of knowing if the student was sleeping or thinking between clicks. This is my best answer to your question.
Not trying to be "smart" or "rude", but your profile picture does a good job illustrating the nature of this question.
Hello Rick,
Thank you for that information. I appreciate your suggestion. You brought up a good point of what is being done between the clicks.
Sincerely,
Peter
Peter, okay.
The reason why I pointed out your profile photo is for the following reason. Suppose that this is a student sitting in my physical course. It appears to me that the student is "active," judging by the smile on the face. However, is this student listening to me? (The picture suggests that fingers are plugging the ears.) Is this student engaged in learning from me? Should I consider this as "time learning?"
