Hi,


in our apache logs I could see an entry for each page impression 

in the error.log file saying: 

 ...referer ourmoodle.com/subpage...

Lately I came across that this error message is due to bcu theme:

https://bitbucket.org/bcu/moodle-theme_bcu/issues/195/each-hit-is-logged-in-error-log-apache

so commented out the line:

"error_log($CFG->version); " in the lib.php.

Is this behaviour of  bcu desired ? Does it persist in adaptable ?

This is an old moodle function actually deprecated. Not sure if it is removed in the BCU Beta version but it is definitely removed from Adaptable.

So you can upgrade to Adaptable to avoid this issue.

Yes, it is removed from BCU Beta version.

Anyway the advice is to upgrade to Adaptable because BCU is discontinued and don't have support and future updates.
