Hi, we use Moodle 3. We have a course with 2 graded activities, a Quiz and a questionnaire. To pass the quiz they need 80%, and it is set to a max of 100 in the activity settings. When they fill in and submit the questionnaire they get 100%. To pass the course overall they need to achieve both these things. What would the correct settings be for the gradebook? I've read a lot of the help but without examples am struggling a bit to understand! Thanks,
There are couple of ways you can do this.
1. Look at completion settings. This will show you how to set up your activities with the requirements for completion and then you make the successful completion of those activities the criteria for passing the course.
2. You can opt to include empty grades in your course total. (Found in your gradebook settings). This means that if they get 80 on the quiz, their final grade will show at 40% until they complete the questionnaire.
