Screenreader/VoiceOver access on iOS?

Hi,

I am creating my first Moodle course in a few years for students who are blind and visually impaired.  Students can easily take Moodle quizzes on a PC with a speech screenreader (JAWS, NVDA) but when using the VoiceOver Screenreader on an iOS device (in Safari, not the App), the cursor seems to jump around a lot, making it very cumbersome and unusable for beginner screenreaders.  Also, when reading Matching questions with choices, the VoiceOver jumps back to the top of the page every time a matching item is chosen.

A few years ago, users could choose a "Screenreader" option in their User Profile but I don't see that option any more.  Is there anything that can be done to make a Moodle quiz (Multiple Choice, Matching, Short Answer) fully accessible to users who are blind and using VoiceOver?  I tried to access it in the Moodle App but it appears that the Quiz is not currently viewable and I can't find a setting for making the quiz viewable in the app.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Joya
