I can see my images in the server files but not showing! Please help!
Hi Kalyan, are the images not showing in a copy of the course or the original course? If it is a new course, the links may have broken within the file structure. You can tell by clicking on where the broken image is > image icon > and look at the file path.
Hi Kim
Thanks for your response. I can get the link from the html code and it is showing the following:
<img src="<img src="http://www.wavelinklms.org/wavelink-moodle/draftfile.php/5/user/draft/29662288/Moment-of-a-Force.png" alt="Moment of A Force" style="vertical-align:text-bottom; margin: 0 .5em;" height="200" width="500">
Our Moodle site is located under http://www.wavelinklms.org/wavelink-moodle/ at Bluehost
But I cannot find any folder called draftfile.php...so no wonder Moodle page does not show the picture. The picture is however still available as a server file. If I reinsert the image from File Picker (any server file), I still get this kind of link....so something is wrong.
Please help.
Best Regards
Kalyan
Dear Visvanath,
I just now picked a file from the File Picker. But you will see in the attached diagram the address chosen has the draftfile folder! Something has gone wrong in the location of images! Can you let me know what should be the ideal location of server files so that the Moodle can access it during display mode?
This is driving me nuts! Our many modules are without diagrams now and we are in big trouble!
Thanks in advance for help!
Best Regards
Kalyan
Hi All
Just now I tried this demo site:
http://school.demo.moodle.net/mod/book/edit.php?cmid=766&id=39
and I got the following html code:
<p>bbb<img src="http://school.demo.moodle.net/draftfile.php/160/user/draft/410583270/perthlemonsinmygarden.jpg" alt="aaa" style="vertical-align:text-bottom; margin: 0 .5em;" class="img-responsive" height="336" width="448"><br></p>
and the site is working well...the picture was auto sized (which is not happening with me) and it displayed immediately! And they also have the draftfile.php folder...so this is not the problem!
Please help! I am sure there are many gurus out there and I must be very dumb not to detect what is causing this problem!
Kindly help!

Hi Kalyan, I'm wondering if the original file was uploaded from a Private files area? I know I have problems when using the My Private Files and having the linked file carry over. The best results I have is to upload directly into the content from the computer instead of the private files area.
Your problem may be related to how and where the files are coming from if it is one person that has uploaded the problem images. However, if you are seeing the file in the server files and linking to that, and they still don't show up is very strange.
Sorry I can be more helpful
No Kim not private files
Even if I create a new page and insert an image it is not shown!
Going crazy!
Hope I can solve it soon!
Hi!
Just to say that I have the exact same problem, my provider being BlueHost.
In fact, the problem occurred during a test. From a question to the next, the images disappeared, replaced by their "box".
I haven't changed anything in the config.
For example, when i'm editing a question with image, i choose to change the image properties. I can see my image in the integrated files :
But when I select (again) the image, it doesn't show in the question..
So, if you find a solution, it will help a lot ! I find it strange to see this problem suddenly appear..
Have a nice day,
Nicolas
I am running into the same thing. Have you found a solution?
Nope.
I have been obliged to change my web hosting company, install a new moodle instance, and start working.
Hi. I´m going through the same problem. Which service provider did you select for your new instalation? We just moved 2 months ago from ICDSoft to Bluehost because of the fast scalability and we actually used it once this week because of the slow performance (support recommended upgrading from 4 to 5 GB of ram). Although the performance improved, it's useless if the site is not reliable regarding images and files.
Hi Rodrigo!
I switched to O2Switch http://www.o2switch.fr
I've been using it for 4 months now. I had no problem since.
Best regards,
Nicolas
