Set default Images for use by Theme

I have one remaining issue before I release the Pioneer theme -  I need to set 2 default images for use by the theme.  On the backend the end user can upload their own image but I need to set the defaults so when the theme is installed it looks halfway decent.

I have no idea how to set a default image when the theme is installed.

I have the images in the pix folder labeled header.jpg and logo.jpg.
What do I need to do?

Look at Afterburner logo in Moodle 2.6 (HERE) and also (HERE) for hints.

That's more or less how I first learnt how to do this.
