Hello All,

I was wanting to have a complete an installation using the Tortoise CVS route. After installing Tortoise I tried connecting to sourceforge to download the Moodle Application. The connection path and the ERROR returned was as under

CVSROOT=:ext:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/moodle

cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

Error, CVS operation failed

Thanks in advance

Garry

I shall be  grateful for any help and advice on resolving the download.

Vast: Urgent Help Please!!!---Not Connecting to Sourceforge For CVS Download

Hi Bhupinder,
I got my windows connection working with this line (look at the instructions in http://download.moodle.org/cvs/):

:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/moodle

If you work behind a firewall make sure you have port 2401 open.

Regards
Ari

As suggested I have tried.

I am not able to connect to source forge.

Hi Ari,

CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/moodle

Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password

cvs server: cannot find module `Moodle' - ignored

Error, CVS operation failed

Any suggestions???

Garry
