At a recent US Moodle Moot 2015 Martin Dougiamas mentioned the idea of a course "Freeze Flag" to facilitate course rollover and archiving. You can hear about this around 27 minutes in

I was wondering if there is a MDL bug or page or anything written down anywhere about this.

Any more thoughts or action on this? Having read around the subject I can see it is associated with bulk course actions. I figure this is not planned for Moodle 3.1, is there any motivation for working towards it for Moodle 3.2?

If there is an MDL, find it, vote for it, ask others to vote for it, wait a while....

If there is not an MDL, create it, ask others to vote for it, wait a while....

You obviously did not do a Google search? It's been written about in a Moodle doc HERE.
