I have been looking high and low in the forums and documentation but I cannot seem to find direction on how to set all student and instructor My Home pages to the site default. I still want users to be able to customize their page after it reverts to default.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
At the moment (2.9) you can do this from Site administration > Appearance > Default dashboard but only for new users, not existing ones. From Moodle 3.0 in November you will be able to do what you want, ie reset for everyone. If your Moodle is earlier than 2.9 (and so Dashboard is called My home) then it's the same -just that you look for Default My home page. (But again, you can only reset it for new users not existing ones.) In the documentation there is Dashboard for 2.9 and My home in 2.8 and earlier.
If you have access to your Moodle db, you can force reset to the default page using the instructions at https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=169840#p1004708 - with the usual caveat of using it at your own risk!
