Need another level

I'm needing to design a course format that requires three 'levels' but moodle only seems to provide me with two.

eg:

Moodle gives Course then sections/topics/weekly etc

I need Course then Sections then another sections within the first section.

Is there anyway this can be done? Thanks for your help.

Hello Janelle,

Currently Moodle will give you:     Category, Sub Category, Sub-Sub Category..e.t.c../Course, Topic.
There are Many ways to get the structure you want. An Easy one is just by naming the topics to reflect the desired section structure:

1.0 Topic one Introduction
1.1 Sub Topic one
1.2 Sub Topic two
1,3 Sub Topic three
2.0 Topic two Introduction
2.1. . .

There is nothing stopping you from having a Course, and other Courses as The sub sections of this course.
Hope this helps.

Have a look at Flexible Sections course format - https://moodle.org/plugins/view/format_flexsections

And, depending on your version of the Moodle, the OU Sub Page module is brilliant! It's not available for 2.9 (I can't recall which version it's compatible with) but here is Mary Cooch extolling its virtues - http://www.moodleblog.net/2012/01/14/sub-page-module-yet-another-way-to-avoid-the-moodle-scroll-of-death/
