Some of you know I've been travelling for the last 8 weeks.  Sometimes no internet for 48 hours.  Then it's been tiring (having a holiday can be hard work, like 11 hour full on days) and so Moodle.org has only got a bit of partial attention at odd intervals.  I'm only just now catching up with a few of my projects (Roadmap, Forum development in Moodle for 3.0, Video forum, Plugins and "Will our upgrade in December be a nightmare?", "are we going to work on the docs??" and also eLiterate etc)

However today was the day:  Coffee and catchup with my son who keeps me up to date with various happenings in the music scene so I am not a complete noob.

My findings

Pomplamoose

Who are these guys?  This is a crazy little video

5 seconds of Summer

It's debatable what Genre these guys are.  I originally went with indie pop, but there is Wikipedia description of "Power Pop"  and they say Pop-Punk. They were famous but I didn't know about them.

Lana del ray

Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lana_Del_Rey

I quote: "During this time, Del Rey's uncle taught her how to play guitar, and she "realized [that she] could probably write a million songs with those six chords"  now we know eh?

On random video:

And two I already knew about:

"Call me"

Love this song.  St Paul and the Broken Bones.

Monsters Calling Home

Now called Run River North.

Derek. Lately I've been having an 80s renaissance. Listening to Howard Jones, Nick Kershaw, Yazoo, John Cougar Mellencamp, Hall and Oates. Blasting it in my car while driving. Just having a great time reliving my teenage years. My daughters keep me up to date with pop stars like Charlie Puth Taylor Swift. Haha.
