We are preparing to run a few courses in MOODLE with users of varying, but mostly, limited experience online. In order to ease their introduction into the world of online learning we are creating some video documents for their use. The first - MOODLE for Learners - is a basic introduction to MOODLE. It is available online here:

Any input would be welcome as to the content and presentation.
We are also developing documentation for Instructors. The first of those videos should be available in a day or two from the same link.

Thanks for your efforts in putting the Flash movie together Paul.
It took me several attempts to access the video satisfactorily but it does the intended job very well.
As a teacher introducing the Moodle concept to colleagues your video is a useful resource and very much in the spirit of the open source community.

This is the URL that I visited before. This is what I see:
However, I don't get any sort of popup with the Flash movie when I access the page and no matter what link I click, I still don't get to the movie. I've tried to disable my firewall as well, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.
Which one is the link that is supposed to lead to the movie?

Well, I am dying for an introduction to the lesson module. I have looked at a couple of printed resources, but I was unable to follow them satisfactorily. I'd like a shot at a video tutorial! Especially one that is REALLY SIMPLE.
This is the first lesson I need to make (just so you can see that it isn't complicated)
I need to create a lesson on composition in photography. So I need about 4 or 5 slides of information, and some simple animations (like two lines coming together to do rule of thirds, or a circle or arrow popping up to show a focal point or a light source). Then, I want to ask a question--say three images and have students select the image that shows the proper composition technique. Then more slides to introduce the second technique.
Can you chain lessons together? Anyway, that would be very helpful to ME! And if you have more pressing issues, I certainly understand. It was just wishful thinking! But some of the tutorials get into so many features that I get lost, since a) I am a complete novice and b) I don't know enough to skip the parts that don't really apply to my situation.

I've just posted a very basic introduction to creating quizzes in MOODLE. This 13 minute video documents the process of creating, adding questions and viewing the results of a simple quiz. By no means comprehensive, it is geared towards a new user of MOODLE.

One of our collaborators wanted to post some documentsin MOODLE and then have participants read, respond to and rate them. I intially thought Choice was the way to go, but...no commenting there. So a forum can be set to allow participants to rate posts. Simple enough, right? Select that option and hey!presto.
In theory and in actual practice it is easy, once you understand how. It took me some time to track down the right way to do this. I checked MOODLE help forums and it was never laid out straight and simple and sometimes I need that-especially if I'm jumping in to help someone.
So, I figured maybe there are others out there who need or want the
