Hypertext link to Glossary requires Login

When clicking on a word that is hypertext linked to a global glossary (with the setting of only link 1st word/page), user is routed to the Login screen and must re-enter their username/p'word.  Once entered, the correct word is displayed in a browser.

Is this flow of screens correct?

Or, is there a network setting that must be changed?

Thanks!

Hello Tim,

this is the intended behavior since Glossary is still not supported by the app. If you try to open a glossary using the app you will also be redirected to the browser.

Regards,

Dani

Hi Tim,

You are a terrific tester smile. The problem here is that the app currently cannot display glossaries, and so we send the user straight to the Web Moodle site. Because the user is not currently logged in through their browser, they are presented with the login screen. Which then redirects them to the glossary entry.

I'm guessing the solution can be split in two. Firstly developing the glossary addon, secondly observing the content displayed enough to redirect the user to a local addon if there is one. I have created MOBILE-1158 for the latter.

I hope this made some sense. Unfortunately I cannot offer you any workaround at this stage.

Cheers!

Fred

Fred, Dani,

Thank you.  I kinda guessed that, but wanted to be sure.

Fred - yes, guess what I used to do...quality assurance and testing for some very big corporations here in the US mostly on the mainframe side.  This is my 1st foray into apps, websites, etc....thank you for the compliment.  I guess I still have the talent smile
