Installing and upgrading help

Hi, i'm new using Moodle. I'm working on a localhost copy of an exisisting production site (Wamp on Windows 7). Actual version is 2.3.2+ and i'm trying to upgrade Moodle to 2.9. To do this, I move 2.9 "moodle" folder to "www" (where old "moodle" folder usually is) and 2.3 folder to another location (Desktop). After copying config.php to new 2.9 folder, I open localhost/moodle and then browser shows a page with a message like this: "Upgrading moodle database from version...to...".  It seems that everything is blocked (2 hours waiting).
