Comprehensive list of modules/add ons/hacks

Good morning all

Not a problem as such but I was just wondering if there is a comprehensive list of modules/add ons/hacks anywhere? When reading through the foums you stumble across some very interesting stuff but not all are easy to deduce exactly what they do nor is it always obvious where to download from (if available to all).

If I have missed something obvious my apologies in advance smile

Hi,

As the Moodle community is so large, with people all over the world developing code for modules, blocks etc. it's a big job keeping an up-to-date list of everything. However, AFAIK there are plans to use the database module in Moodle 1.6 to store everything. approve

In the meantime, you could browse cvs: moodle/contrib and use the forum search to find additional information on a particular module or block.

Hi Helen

That's what I've been doing, was just hoping there was something like a wiki or faq where the developers out there kept a list of all the amazing work they are doing.

At the moment, I'm just getting a basic setup running and will build from there so am in no real rush but keep running into little snippets in the forums (such as the work coming out of Humboldt and New Zealand) that sound like excellent added functionality. There have been a couple of things I wasn't too sure about exactly the  "why and where" hence my initial question . . . guess I just want my cake and to eat it too big grin

So far I am very impressed with Moodle and am very grateful to the work the community puts into making it even better. I look forward to 1.6.
