Installation problem of Moodle with Xampplite-win32-1.4.15

Hi,

I saw that there was a new version of XAMPP and I thought I would upgrade. Something which should have been rather simple has turned out a little nightmare.
What I did was the following: I simply deleted the folder containing the previous XAMPP installation (this is what you are supposed to do since XAMPP doesn't install any files or modifies the Windows register). I copied the folder containing the new version of XAMPP and I ran the setup bat file. Everything seemed to go OK with the XAMPP installation.

However, when I go to http://127.0.1.1/moodle/ to start configuring Moodle, I get the following message:

Error detected in configuration file

Your server address can not be: $CFG->wwwroot = 'http://example.com/moodle';

And I cannot go any further.

Can anybody help me, please? Any hint as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks a lot in advance.

OK, I managed to solve this problem (with a little from my friends). It was stupid. I had to modify the config.php file and introduce the appropriate path.

After doing that, though, now I get the following message:

Error: Database connection failed.

It is possible that the database is overloaded or otherwise not running properly.

The site administrator should also check that the database details have been correctly specified in config.php

I don't know what database is this referring to because I haven't even reached the point where it should ask me to create a database, give it a name and choose a login name and a password. Again, any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
