This is the Asnswer I received from my Hosting Administrator;

Unfortunately it appears the version of Moodle currently shipping with Fantastico has not been updated to operate correctly with PHP 4.4.0.

If you check the Moodle website, there may be a version available which resolves this issue.

Fantastico should provide an update for this soon, but as it's third party software, we have no influence on their schedule.

It's a known problem with various discussions in these forums.

Drop the attached file into moodle/lib/adodb/ on your server and that should fix it.

Edit: just noticed, you use the same host as me! Good choice smile You'll also find this in the site5 forums as I hit the problem when they upgraded.
