Hello team

1) it is a pleasure (and a honor) to see so many clever answers coming to help the poor beggar in the slumps. 

See previous post "I AM TERRIFIED : MOODLE IS VERY SLOW !"



2) as I have installed a lot of sites as a professional, all of them starting on a local XAMPP, I noticed immediately the fact that "MOODLE is very slow" in this configuration.



3)  my company requests "very fast responsiveness" to 60 000 up to 600 000 students.

And Admins and Professors must work also very fast.

I have full responsibility on this achievement.



4) I need to build a production site "hyper-fast, simple, non-explosive".

Any architecture, any database, any technology, BUT open source, and everything "on our servers".

Fleu, its not just the software you should be considering, putting nginx on a 486 architecture wont do you any good.

Bring to the table, what you have in terms of "SERVER CONFIGURATION", and expected number of users online at any given time, this will pave the path automatically for you and for many on this forum to suggest what to use and any hardware upgrades required in terms of servers.
