i downloaded the new version and got this error message,
Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]:
open_basedir restriction in effect.
File(/www/htdocs/moodledata/lang/en/install.php) is not within the
allowed path(s): (/www/htdocs/w00578cc/) in /www/htdocs/w00578cc/lib/moodlelib.php on line 4394
on the install page and many similar
Is there a way to tell moodle the right path?

solved it by replacing the variable by the right path and changing it back after the installation
