Embedding SCORM package in a quiz question

Embedding SCORM package in a quiz question

Hello, this is a duplicate post, but I am up against a deadline ...

We are at Moodle 2.6.4 and I have a teacher who wants to embed a SCORM package into an existing Moodle quiz.  I have some questions:

  • Is this possible?
  • If it is possible, how do I embed the SCORM package (currently saved as a .zip file)?
  • If it isn't possible, can I link out to the SCORM package without the students being dumped out of the quiz?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Susan

No, it is not possible to embed a scorm package in a Moodle quiz so it gets processed as a SCORM item where the result is feed back to the quiz engine. If the utility of the scorm is the display of some media (e.g. an animation), it might be possible to extract that media by unzipping the SCORM, uploading the medi (e.g. avi, swf file) to an essay question and then marking that question by hand.  I suggest your first step is to work out what the zip file contains.
