Xerte Online Toolkit activities in TaskChain

Hi Gordon and All,

Been playing with XOT recently (the stable 2.1 version) - it can now output HTML5 / javascript units, rather than SWF.

Alas, I have not been able to add any XOT tasks to TC and get them to play back.

Are there any recommendations for XOT output / export? For example:

1) Should only some activity types be included?

2) Do I provide only one activity per one exported zip file?

3) I suppose I use  the deployment zip option - see screenshot attached.

Scrolled through all the Xerte-related posts on this forum and in other docs but could not find anything.

Many thanks for any help and tips.

Hi Przemek,

could you create a sample TaskChain activity on my testing server, so I can see that contents and structure of the new Xerte activities

thanks
Gordon

Hello Gordon,

Was trying to turn editing on in the course and got:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare block_dictionary::_self_test() in /Users/gbateson/Sites/Moodle/28/blocks/dictionary/block_dictionary.php on line 192

sad

Hope you can find a way around this problem...

Many thanks,

Przemek

Sorry about that Przemel. I have coaxed the server to upgrade successfully, and now the course is open, empty, and waiting for you smile regards, Gordon

Dear Gordon,

I have set up two Task Chains, and added the original zips. I have NOT clicked on anything so as to make you see what exactly happens when trying to test the TC for the first time and later.  I think I sometimes saw different alerts, though I might as well be mistaken..

Anyway, I will be glad to help you troubleshoot further and hopefully find a "cure".

Very best,

Przemek
