We would like to create different sessions for one course so different teachers could use them. Is there any plugin that allows choosing from drop down menu which particular session to show?
Not sure what you mean by "sessions" but you can use cohorts and groups in Moodle.
With a group you can do things like split forum discussions between different groups so that each participant only sees / replies to posts from their own group.
