When I look at the logs of a Moodle(2.3.1) site I have, there are "login error" messages from different, unknown and not registered user names, showing different IP addresses, every 5-7 minutes throughout the day and night.
I can only assume that this is some sort of attempt to attack the site, but don't know what I can do to prevent it. I am waiting to update to the latest version, but I need MySQL and PHP upgrades first.
Can anyone advise?
