Upgrading from root to a directory

Hi! my question is this; Is it possible to upgrade my site to a directory or folder if my original installation was on the root of my server?

example, my site is www.mysite.com/login/index.php but I want to upgrade my original installation to www.mysite.com/moodle/login/index.php

Well, if you put the new moodle files in the new directory, and use the same database as the original site, it should work ok. Of course, your original site may stop working if the Moodle versions are different, as you will have changed the original site's database to the new version.
