Suggestion for Find it!

Suggestion for Find it!

Hello,

I work with Moodle 2.7. I have a suggestion for the modality Find it!, or may be this exists already but I do not know how to edit it.

One of the uses for the Find it! activity I would find very interesting is for the exercise type "One word does not match the group", for instance

"Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Mai".

As feedback I would write something like "Very good, Mai is a month and the other words are days of the week".

So far I know, this is only possible if I write in the same exercise only one group. I mean, it is not possible to give feedback in this exercise for every word I set as the solution (like for instance, in the JQuizz). Is this so? Or am I missing something?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Regards,

Beatriz.

Hi Beatriz,

I don't think it is possible to give feedback for every possible answer in Find-it! (and other variations on JCloze) as you can in JQuiz.

The way I get round this is to make several exercises on the same subject using different HotPots. If I want to give detailed feedback I use JQuiz but then I follow it up with a different type of exercise where there is no feedback. For example, here is a JQuiz: http://www.esl-exos.info/wp-content/grammar/17_verb_tenses/04_changes/00.htm with feedback followed by a JMix: http://www.esl-exos.info/wp-content/grammar/17_verb_tenses/04_changes/01.htm with no feedback (sorry I don't have an example of a Find-It! on my new site yet but the principle is the same).

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi Glenys

thanks for your quick and helpful answer! Now that I have my hypothesis confirmed, I will set up the exercises like you do.

I like the style of your hotpots! 驚訝的

Beatriz.
