restore without backup!!!!

Hi!

I installed moodle localy in a windows pc and built my courses for 6 months. 

Then, my hard disk broke down. 

I have a copy from my disk folders to an external disk (not a regular backup).

Is there any chance to restore my moodle?

Hi,

   When you say you have a copy of the drive on an external I am assuming you mean a 1:1 copy of the local pc's drive.

   Were you running daily mysqldumps of the database?  If so then you can use one of those and the moodle data copy to rebuild your site.

    If you were not making daily backups then you may need to try to recover the database from the files associated with the mysql - Innodb recovery

Hi Marina,

Shutdown the servers (web & data), copy back from the external disk and restart everything.
