I need to fix some issues about the plugin.

Anyway, you can find it on github if you are interested but I think I need to work on it a little bit more : https://github.com/comete-upo/moodle-local-groupautoenrol/tree/STABLE

You are free to test it and to give me a feedback.

Hi Pascal,

Your plugin appears to be exactly what I have been looking for.

OVERALL:

I need to be able to add an enrollment method(s) to a course that needs a key code which expires at a specific time, can only be used x number of times, and automatically places the student who uses said key into a specific group.

I have most of this functionality using the normal self-enrollment method option. The only thing missing is the added ability to place the user who employs the enrollment key into a designated group also.

I plan to test your plugin tomorrow to determine if it will work for my purposes. However, if you would be willing to help me with this, I would even be willing to pay you for your time. smile

Thanks,

Troy

Nope. This plugin doesn't work for me. I create a group, set the Auto enroll in group setting page to be that group in the course. But no user is ever placed into it after being enrolled into the course via a meta_course enrollment method.

Hi !

I'm sorry I forgot to subscribe to this discussion !

Someone contacted me in private, so I fixed the problem : the plugin works now : https://github.com/comete-upo/moodle-local-groupautoenrol/tree/STABLE (be carefull to use the STABLE version i.e the stable branch, not the master one !)

I updated the plugin page as well : https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=local_groupautoenrol (it is "waiting for approval for now)

The plugin v1.1.1 (with bug fixed) is attached on this message.

@Pat Collins

I do not understand the link between my plugin and what you ask for.

I do not understand precisely where you are blocked in what you want to do !

@Troy Fennell

You can test the plugin now (I did not tested it with a user enrolled into the course via a meta_course enrollment method but it should work).
