Can't activate Self Registration / Enrollment

Greetings, 

I have installed Moodle 2.6.2 and created a course but don't manage to have a user self-register for the site and then self-enroll for the course...

I have activated self-enrolment for the course but won't be able to have the "1st timer" block to enable registration.

Any hint?
