I am running 2.6.2
When I tried to login today as an admin nothing happened. I mean nothing happened at all. (No Error/Incorrect Password Message) But, I couldn't login.
I decided to reset my password to see if that would work. I received the email, clicked the link, but received this message:
error/Failed to generate password hash
Has anything else had this issue? Everything was working fine until today. Is there a fix for this?

I managed to solve the issue myself, so I thought I'd share how just in case anyone else runs into this issue.
I had to delete the moodledata cache and then reset the password.
To do this you need to go into the moodledata directory and delete the cache file entirely (not just the contents).
It's a bit annoying because it means that every user needs to reset their password. Luckily I am just getting started with my Moodle so there aren't any users yet. Hopefully this doesn't happen again
It seems like this was an error that was discovered during the development of 2.5.
